TAMPICO, IL – Wayne Edward Hostetler, 85 years, 10 months and 29 days, peacefully passed away April 11, 2021 at his home.
Wayne was born on May 13, 1935 in Shelbyville, IL the son of Herman and Laura (Unzicker) Hostetler. He was united in marriage on September 4, 1955 on Barbara Headings.
He is survived by Barbara, his beloved wife of 65 years and 7 months; 5 sons: Edwin (Eileen) of Hotchkiss, CO, Aldine (Clarene) of Bellevue, IA, Omar (Bonnie) of Center, CO, Nelson (Lynette) of Tampico, Steven (Marsha) of Montrose, CO; 5 daughters: Rose (Myron) of Hotchkiss, CO, Twila of Tampico, IL, Marlene (Cecil) of Olathe, CO, Rhonda (Troy) of Olathe, CO and Charlotte (Chad) of Delta, CO; 1 brother, Leroy (Juanita) of Harmon, IL and 1 sister, Mary Alice of Berryville, AR; 63 grandchildren; 98 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Laura Hostetler; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday April 14, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Fairfield Amish Mennonite School, Tampico. The funeral will follow on Thursday at 10 AM at the Fairfield Amish Mennonite Church, Tampico. Burial will be at the Fairfield Amish Mennonite Cemetery.
