OHIO, IL - William F. Anderson, Jr, 87 of Ohio, IL died Thursday January 11, 2018 at Heritage Health in Walnut. He was born on August 14, 1030 in Ohio, IL the son of William Fenwick and Ellen Pearl (Hannan) Anderson I. Mr. Anderson was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Army. He married Lois Mary Robbin on December 7, 1963 in Bensenville, IL. Mr. Anderson was a dedicated life-long farmer. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and had served for over 30 years on the East Grove Township Board. Survivors include his wife, Lois; their children: William F. (Gina) Anderson III of Ottawa, IL, Eric R. (Linda) Anderson of Churubusco, IN and Kate (Doug) Christensen of Newberg, OR; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday January 14, 2018 from 4-6 PM at the Garland Funeral Home in Walnut with the Rosary being recited at 3:45 PM. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Monday at 10:30 AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ohio, with the Reverend Thomas Shaw, Celebrant officiating. Burial with military honors will conclude at St. Mary Cemetery, Ohio.
